L'établissement

Fondazione Accademia Teatro alla Scala was founded in 2001 and comprises four departments – Music, Dance, Stage Workshops, Management – with some thirty courses for over one thousand students from every corner of the world: approximately 500 for professional courses and 500 for beginning courses.

The Management Department offers a Master in Performing Arts Management and an Executive Program in Fundraising for the Performing Arts.

The Master in Performing Arts Management Conceived and organized by Accademia Teatro alla Scala in collaboration with the MIP Politecnico di Milano Graduate School of Business and the Piccolo Teatro di Milano–Teatro d’Europa promotes stage arts as a fundamental social, political and economic asset, and live performances as a means for conserving and passing on to future generations a people’s cultural heritage and identity.

With guest speakers and experts from internationally renowned institutions, the master’s program offers the opportunity to learn the peculiarities of the performing arts sector on a global level through lectures, seminars and talks. Our faculty features preeminent professionals from the Opera Europa Bruxelles, Metropolitan Opera House, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Royal Opera House Muscat, BBC Arts Online, Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, English National Opera, Opéra de Rennes, Berliner Philharmoniker, Hong Kong Arts Festival, Casa da Música (Porto), Gran Teatre del Liceu, DeVos Institute of Arts Management, WolfBrown, Warner Classics (Paris), Opéra national de Lyon, Ping Pong Production (Beijin), Brooklyn Academy of Music.
